Welcome From the Dean

Welcome to the College of Health and Human Sciences, comprised of outstanding students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Our college prides itself on excellence in academic programs, research, and community service. Founded in 1967, we have a major impact not only in Atlanta, but the national and international community as well.

Comprised of over 2,600 students and 115 faculty members, we educate highly skilled professionals in the disciplines of:

Criminal Justice
Nursing
Nutrition
Physical Therapy
Public Health
Respiratory Therapy and
Social Work.

Graduates of our programs are in high demand. In fact, a recent report issued by Georgia’s Task Force on the Health Professions substantiates the critical need for our graduates, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our graduates are fulfilling vital roles in health care, social service, and criminal justice throughout the state of Georgia, our nation, and the world.

On this web site you can read about exciting opportunities for students to work together with world class faculty members on research initiatives that take strategic advantage of our location in here in Atlanta, as well as in the international community.

Thank you,
Susan J. Kelley
Dean and Professor
